As part of the acquisition, founder Jon Metheny has joined our firm as Director of Design and Junior Partner, effective November 1, 2025.
Jon brings more than 30 years of experience and a reputation for modern, high-end residential design that perfectly complements Schaub Projects’ reputation for unparalleled craftsmanship and thoughtful, client-centered approach. His addition strengthens our ability to offer even greater design depth, creativity, and technical expertise to every home we create.

Founded in 1992 by David (Dave) Schaub, Schaub Projects was established on the principle that architecture is as much about artistry as it is about connection. Over the past three decades, the firm has become known for its blend of hand-drawn artistry, precision, and deeply personal collaboration with clients.

A Design Legacy Meets Modern Innovation
Jon’s path to architecture began early—sketching floor plans in grade school and developing a fascination with mid-century modernists’ work that would shape his career. After graduating from Kansas State University’s School of Architecture in 1995, Jon worked under respected architects in Kansas City before founding Metheny Architects in 2020. His firm quickly became known for its modern, detail-driven residential designs that merge natural materials, form, and light.
